Feeling neutrals...

Hello and happy Friday!  Gayle here with a project to share with you today using IndigoBlu's 'Sewing Mends The Soul' stamps :) I decided to repurpose the holder from a pack of greeting cards, painting it all over in pale blue acrylic, followed by a layer of cream, followed by a layer of crackle glaze on the front cover, and another layer of cream acrylic on top to make it really shabby :)
I stamped the main images on the front cover in saddle brown StazOn, and coloured some crinkle ribbon with vintage photo Distress Stain, which I tied on to the front cover along with a steampunk sewing machine charm. You can't see the crackle very well in this pic but I love it! Lots of texture :)  I also stamped some Tim Holtz script in frayed burlap Distress Ink to add more to the background.
I lined the inside with some sewing pattern paper (Tim Holtz paper (right) and GCD Studios paper (left)), after adding some Distress to the edges, and stamped some more details on the inside piece of the holder, along with the scissors and yarn that I stamped, cut out and then stuck on.
To make the inside a little more interesting I added some Alterations spools with some lace, pins and needles attached with tissue tape.
Thank you for visiting today!  You can find everything I used at the Stamp Attic (apart from the pins and needles!), hope you have a wonderful weekend :)

Gayle xx

So pretty. It's one of those projects it would be great to reach out and see for real. Love this stamp set and it works so well with your choice of colours. Hugs, Buttons x
