Steampunk Owl

This time around I am using the fabulous Steampunk Owl from The Stamp Attic for my DT creation.
I began my creation by colouring several pieces of white card with Distress Inks dusty concord and shaded lilac, applying the colours to my non stick craft sheet, spritzing with water and mopping up the beads of ink with my card, heat setting with my heat tool before each application.
I stamped my owl with black archival ink onto a piece of my coloured card and then coloured with Distress Markers. The branches on the stamp inspired me to use the branches from the Bird Branch die, cut from black card, adding to the back of my stamped piece. I also added the Halloween ticket stamped onto white card from Tim's Odds and Ends set, coloured with dusty concord ink, adding black soot to the edges.

For added dimension I included OWL using Alpha Parts, adding yet more interest. I then matted my stamped piece onto pieces of card coloured with Distress Inks and black card stock, adding to an 8" x 8" card.
I stamped the swirl and owl image to the top of my card from Tim's Haunted Mansion set, I thought this was perfect in the background combined with the owl image from Stampendous.  For further dimension I also added an Owl brass charm along with some black ribbon.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Tracy Evans x x
