Ebony and ivory...

Happy Friday!  Gayle here with a sewing-inspired crafty project :) I have been playing with the Indigo Blu stamp set 'Sewing Mends The Soul' and some other sewing-style goodies :) including these fab wooden spools that Wendy has at the shop.
I used a Tando Creative chipboard dressform, spool and scissors to decorate the top of the large spool, the scissors painted with gold acrylic, the dressform with black and the spool was inked with antique linen and frayed burlap Distress Ink and wrapped with white thread.  The dressform was wrapped in white lace (which Wendy has wrapped around some of those lovely spools - double goodies!).

The sewing machine is a Wendy Vecchi resin embellishment - don't you love all the little details on it?

The flowers are white card cut from the Tattered Florals die, some painted with black acrylic paint, and then layered on the bottom of the spool with a gold Stickled centre.  I stamped some of the flowers with gold ink and the thimble pattern from the Indigo Blu set.
I finished off with two pearl pins slipped down the back of the lace 'dress', and a Wendy Vecchi Art Part flourish which I painted gold and glued to the back of the spool.

Thank you visiting today! You can get all the supplies I used at the very lovely Stamp Attic :) have a wonderful weekend!

Gayle xx
