Shattered Stains...

Goodly Morning Stampfans... another tag today using gorgeous Tim Holtz and Ranger products. I had a lot of fun with this tag, adding loads of layers and using my favourite Rock Candy Cracklepaint and Distress Stains. The technique is on Page 48 of the Compendium of Curiosities II, which is available HERE. I will do a linky list at the bottom of the post, you know, just to point you in the right direction to get yourself a little crafty treat (am good like that lol)

To start with I used a Crafters Workshop Diamond stencil, placing it over the tag and spreading Rock Candy Cracklepaint over it so there was a nice thick layer.... the thickness of jam on some nice crusty bread :O) I diecut some Grungeboard using the Mini Butterflies Movers & Shapers Alterations and layered some Rock Candy Crackle over these too. Once the cracklepaint had dried, I went over it with some Distress Stains to colourize the diecuts and tags. The Stains sink beautifully into the cracks giving a really cool effect. I cut some Kraft Glassine using the Mini Tattered Florals Movers & Shapers and crumbled it up so the flowers look shabby. They are layered up with a Maya Road resin flower in the centre. The leaves are Grungeboard, cut from the Mini Tattered Leaves Movers & Shapers and there's also a Branch Movers & Shapers grunge shape there too to add a bit of texture to the flowery embellishment. The Journal Ticket was cut with the Hearts Movers & Shapers and then I layered another underneath it and stamped the sentiment so it fits inside the aperture. I used Aged Mahogany and Vintage Photo DI's to age the tickets and then used 3D foam to pop them together. The finishing touches are a Gem Clip with a Chain Tassell attached to it.
