Building a journal

These two journal pages are going to heading down to the shop soon and then get pasted into the journal that we are building.
These pages use the FABULOUS STEAMPUNK DEBUTANTE papers from GRAPHIC 45
Although the background is a little hard to see it is made with one of my fav methods. First apply a layer of GESSO, let dry. Then add a couple of colours of ECO FRIENDLY PAINT
dry a little with a heat gun and then take a baby wipe to it and rub away a lot of the paint to give the distressed look I love. Add a little stamped text.
Next stamp some PAPERARTSY COGS in a couple of corners with black ARCHIVAL ink, dry a little and then wipe with a baby wipe to "knock it back" a little again aiming for that distressed look.
Cut out several images and bits and pieces from the GRAPHIC 45 papers and plan your layout. There are lots of bits and pieces in the papers that can add those bits of detail......like this blue rose and butterfly shown here.
Die cut some cog shapes using
TIM HOLTZ ALERATIONS GADGET GEARS die.
The octopus seen here is a little stamp from INKADINKADO......not online but call (01235 760821) if you need one!
Put your pages together!!
