Hi Honey, I'm Home........

We're off..........how exciting.......and in no time, we were there, amazing, what a smooth ride and I must say Eurostar is sooooo easy.............Sue signed us into our hotel, Navarrawe were just off the main Markt, a truly beautiful medieval square, full of fabulous buildings
Sue loves 'outside art' and we visited the Groeninge Museum where we found these beauties, the four riders of the apocalypse, close up they were amazing, the faces were so scary We took a canal boat ride.........Bruges is known as the 'Venice of the North'.............it was cold, that wind off the North Sea, but to get to see the town from the water was worth ithowever, we thought we would try seeing it from the warmth of a horse buggy complete with blankets..............and as luck would have it we spotted some shops we had missed, oh no!! and went back on foot to buy silver jewelery from the man who was making it there in front of you, and a scarf or two (some people have a scarf fettish you know) from the lady who made them in her shop. There was alot of 'souvenier' stuff about aimed at the tourist, but we bought some lovely things from true local people who made it there in the shop...... next came the obligatory sugar waffles.........I had caramel sauce and Sue had chocolate....yummyour favourite place was this wonderful cafe........they had the most wonderful atmosphere, food and coffee and you could even buy some of the ingredients they used, we both came home with jars of fig conserve and 'speculoos' which are wonderfully spicy biscuits.........add goats cheese and well................then it was time to leave again.............................but we had a great time........thanks Sue
Stampotiqe arrived while I was away and all you patient folk will get them by the end of this week as we got them out very fast, some are already sold out but more are already in the air so will be here very soon.
