Snow birds............

How beautiful and delicate is this final card for this year from Rachel............
Using once again Delicate Branches from Inkadinkado she has perched one of the single birds on the branch, this set is so versatile that the branches can be used vertical or horizontal and the birds added afterwards............thank you Rachel and Happy Christmas.

Well, we are getting close to the 'day' and we are all I am sure rushing about buying last minute gifts and food but I would like you to all stop a moment and think about those who are out there this Christmas alone, apart from loved ones or down on their luck, stuck in the snow or still suffering the effects of the floods in Cumbria and most of all the armed forces.

I wish you all a very very Happy Christmas wherever you are and thank you all for visiting the blog and the shop over the last 12 months.
The shop will be closed from 1pm on Christmas Eve and reopen on January 2nd when we will have a bunch of great reductions in store. Online shopping is available throughout.

Delicate Wreath.........

Rachel Jackson sent me this beautiful DT piece today...........still using the Inkadinkado Delicate Branches set, this time to create a delicate wreath, this is so pretty. She has used the small branch to create the wreath itself and added the tiny leaf stamp. The berries have been hand done using a gel pen and tiny pearl buttons to add a 3D finish...........just lovely.
Rachel's attention to detail is amazing, look at the little band she made for the bottom of the card with the same leaf stamp and as Rachel points out, the same stamps can be used to make a nest for the bird in the set too, just make the centre space smaller...........
Thank you Rachel............your art always makes me want to reach for my stamps too...............

All gone..............

Tims Grab Bags are now SOLD OUT................sorry if you missed the great deal and congrats if you didn't ..................it was a real bargain.

Two 4 One..........

or Catch Up..........here is Tag 10, followed fast by Tag 11.........phew, how that man keeps this speed up I will never know........so here it is, and its so colourful, what you can do with an Alcohol Ink Pen and some aluminium foil eh.........

Day 11..........and I just love that reindeer, be it stamp or grungeboard element.
Tim has used a special tool to make his own brads here but its easy to make these little flower characters without using a brad tool. Brad your flower centres in the usual way and then simply adhere your 'brad tops' to the top of the brad with glossy accents, and if you don't want to use brads then build your flower characters using glossy accents and then use that too also adhere them to the tag.......simples!
We have Distress Rock Candy Stickles and Crackle in stock now.........

Quirky Birds

The workshop last weekend was fabulous fun, we made backgrounds using Distress Inks, lots of water and book paper. While we were busy doing as we had been told by Mrs Teacher (aka Sue Roddis) she was having a dabble with some of the papers and stamps. These birds are from a clear set called Birds and Branches by Hero Arts and they are just such fun images. Sue made a great job of turning what appears to be a penguin into a robin for the alternative Christmas card.

As for Mr Tim, what's he been at .......ah Festive Sounds, my favourite set of stamps, nice one Tim.
I promise to get some of the workshop photo's up this week, it's really hectic here in the shop which is great but it makes my blogging a bit slow..........

Morning Frost...........

Rachel has created the perfect frosty morning feel with her latest DT piece. The shimmer effect on her card is created using a wash of diluted perfect pearls and the Delicate Branches have been stamped in black over it. It makes me shivver just looking at it, perfectly captured Rachel, a truly beautiful piece of work.

As you may have noticed, I got behind with Tims Tags, we had a weekend of workshops with Sue Roddis here and well, there are only so many hours in a day........workshop will be blogged soon, the photo's are brilliant, wonderful work done by all, some really nice 'streets' were created. Sue and I also went to Steampunk in Oxford but guess what, we forgot the camera, sorry.
